Ayamonte

Sitting at the mouth of the Guadiana River on the Portuguese border, Ayamonte is a walkable Andalusian town with a café-filled centre, waterfront views, and a photogenic old quarter that draws steady visitor attention. Its origins reach back to Phoenician settlement, and from the 16th century it grew into one of the province's most significant commercial centres.
