Bedous
Pyrénées-Atlantiques · France
Bedous is a tiny Pyrénées-Atlantiques village in mountain country and the birthplace of Pierre Laclède, the Frenchman who founded St. Louis, Missouri. The village sits on the water and holds several historic churches for its size, with scenic viewpoints in the surrounding hills. Its station on the Pau–Canfranc railway, closed after a 1970 accident, reopened in 2016 as the terminus of service from Pau.
