Bima
Indonesia
Bima is a coastal city on the eastern end of Sumbawa island in Indonesia's West Nusa Tenggara province, shaped by its history as capital of the Bima Sultanate from 1620 to 1958. The former sultanate palace now houses the Sultan Salahuddin Museum, and the Sultan Salahuddin mosque stands nearby. As the largest city on Sumbawa, it serves as the main commercial hub for eastern Sumbawa, with a central downtown area and connections by road to Dompu and Sape.
