Founded around 1600 CE by the Sufi scholar Sidi Bouabid Cherki, Boujad is a town in central Morocco's Khouribga Province whose identity has been shaped by the Zaouia Cherkaouia he established — a centre of religious learning, spiritual life, and trade that still defines the town's character today.
