Bugarach
Aude · France
A pocket-sized hamlet in the Aude department of southern France, Bugarach sits on the Blanque river at the foot of the Pech de Bugarach, the high point of the Corbières massif and the transition zone between the Massif Central and the Pyrenees. The village lies on the Cathar Trail, a long-distance walking route crossing southern France, and has drawn New Age visitors for decades. A 13th-century château is listed as a historic monument.
