This hilltop Tuscan town in the Province of Livorno with scenic views across the Maremma coastal plain, Campiglia Marittima sits within the "Borghi più belli d'Italia" network of Italy's most beautiful villages. First recorded in 1004, the town added "Marittima" to its name in 1862 to mark its ties to the Tyrrhenian coastal region. A pocket-sized central core holds cafés and restaurants, and the surrounding hill country offers multiple viewpoints.
