Coaticook

Coaticook · Canada

Compact town in Quebec's Eastern Townships, Coaticook sits on the Coaticook River — a name of Abenaki origin meaning "where the river is bordered by white pines" — and draws visitors to the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook and its Foresta Lumina night experience, as well as the Laiterie de Coaticook dairy. Incorporated in 1864 and originally settled in the 1820s by British Loyalists from New England, the town sits on the Canada–United States border in the Estrie region.
