Cobija

Bolivia

Cobija sits on the Bolivian bank of the Río Acre, directly across from the Brazilian city of Brasiléia, making it one of Bolivia's most accessible Amazonian border towns. Capital of the Pando department deep in the Amazon Basin, it has a tropical climate and is connected to Brazil by two bridges. Road links to the rest of Bolivia can become impassable in the rainy season, giving the town a genuine frontier character.
