Deseronto
Canada
A tiny Ontario town on the shore of the Bay of Quinte, Deseronto sits at the mouth of the Napanee River with water views and several historic churches for a settlement its size. Founded in 1784 and named for Captain John Deseronto, a Mohawk leader who served in the British Military Forces during the American Revolutionary War, the town was a timber and mineral industry centre until the 1930s and remains the eastern gateway to the Bay of Quinte region.
