Momarken trotting track, one of Norway's most active harness-racing venues with around 50 race days a year, is the main draw in Eidsberg, a former municipality in Østfold now part of Indre Østfold. The same Momarken site also hosts rallycross rounds at European Championship level. Høytorp Fort, transferred from the military to the municipality in 2001, opens for guided tours on Sundays through the summer months. European route E18 passes through the area, and Mysen, the former administrative centre, sits on the eastern line of the Østfold Railway.
