Frostburg

A pocket-sized Appalachian college town in western Maryland, Frostburg sits along the historic National Road (US 40) and serves as the western terminus of the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. Frostburg State University gives the town a lively dining and pub scene, while the surrounding mountains put hiking, cycling, and water sports within easy reach. The town is also a stop on the Rails to Trails cycle path connecting Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.
