Görele

This Black Sea coast town in eastern Turkey's Giresun Province, Görele sits at the water's edge with mountains rising close behind. The surrounding landscape is threaded with hazelnut orchards, and the area holds several sites of cultural interest, including shrines at Kuşçulu and Çavuşlu villages and a battlefield site at Kanlıdere on Haç Dağı, where Ottoman forces defeated Russian troops, located a short distance from the town centre.
