Griante
Como · Italy
A small Lake Como village on the western shore, Griante sits directly on the water between Menaggio and Tremezzo, with scenic viewpoints across the lake toward Bellagio and Varenna. The lakeside quarter of Cadenabbia di Griante holds the community's cafés, restaurants, and the Anglican Church of the Ascension. Villa Margherita Ricordi, built in 1853, is where Giuseppe Verdi is thought to have composed parts of La Traviata during visits to the shore.
