Ilwaco

A small waterfront city on Baker Bay where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean, Ilwaco sits at the southern tip of Washington's Long Beach Peninsula with a café and restaurant scene that punches above its size. Founded in 1890, it built its early economy on logging and the Ilwaco Railway and Navigation Company. Astoria, Oregon lies just across the river to the southeast.
