Modest town in Kunduz Province, northern Afghanistan, Imam Sahib is the second most visited pilgrimage destination in the province after Mazar-i-Sharif, home to the Baba Hatim Ziyarat shrine on its outskirts. It sits on the southern bank of the Amu Darya river, with the Shir Khan Bandar river port a short distance to the west, and mountains visible from the surrounding terrain.
