Junik

A small mountain town in western Kosovo's Gjakova region, Junik sits along the highland border with Albania and is the birthplace of former European heavyweight boxing champion Luan Krasniqi and poet Din Mehmeti. For its size, it has a modest café and restaurant scene and several historic churches, with the Albanian Alps providing the surrounding terrain.
