Kaleybar

A small city in East Azerbaijan Province, Iran, Kaleybar serves as the main base for visiting Babak Castle and as a starting or finishing point for the Aras River Valley route between Kaleybar and Jolfa. Set in mountain terrain near Iran's northern border with Azerbaijan, the city is surrounded by sparse forests and pastures and has a temperate mountain climate. It also sits within the Arasbaran Biosphere Reserve.
