Kavadarci is North Macedonia's wine capital, set in the Tikveš grape-growing region and home to the largest winery in Southeast Europe. The town sits near Lake Tikveš, the country's largest artificial lake, and has a compact centre with a concentration of cafés and restaurants. It is the main hub of the Tikveš area, a region that produces much of North Macedonia's wine.
