Kimry

Volga River town in Tver Oblast with a walkable centre, Kimry has roots in the shoe-making trade that made it a notable centre of the Russian footwear industry as far back as the reign of Peter I, and fully established by the late 19th century. Sitting at the confluence of the Volga and the Kimrka River, the town offers riverside views and was granted city status in 1917.
