Koszalin
Poland
City in northwestern Poland's West Pomerania region with a walkable centre full of cafés and a Gothic cathedral that serves as the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Koszalin–Kołobrzeg. The city sits close to the Baltic Sea coast, with the resort town of Mielno nearby, and borders Lake Jamno to the south. Founded in the Middle Ages, Koszalin was once a seaport and hosts an annual festival of choirs from the Polish diaspora. Theatres, a philharmonic hall, an amphitheatre, and museums round out the cultural offer.
