Kruibeke
Belgium
This tiny East Flemish town in Belgium's Waasland region sits alongside the River Schelde, offering waterside scenery and a photogenic setting. The municipality takes in three communities — Kruibeke proper, Bazel, and Rupelmonde — with Bazel home to the feudal castle of Wissekerke, occupied by the Vilain family until 1989. Kruibeke is also known for a brief moment of civic curiosity: in 2003, its mayor formally added Tenderness to his portfolio of municipal duties.
