Kufstein

Kufstein Fortress, first mentioned in the 13th century, dominates this photogenic Tyrolean town on the River Inn, flanked by the Brandenberg Alps and the Kaisergebirge. The town sits right on the Austrian-Bavarian border, making it a natural stop on the route south through the Alps, and its heritage-dense centre holds a strong café and restaurant scene for a place its size.
