Litoměřice
Czechia
A walkable wine-country town at the confluence of the Elbe and Ohře rivers in northern Bohemia, Litoměřice has a well-preserved medieval centre — protected as an urban monument reservation since 1950, covering dozens of streets and squares — dense with historic churches and cafés. The surrounding region, long known as the Garden of Bohemia for its fertile land, produces wine from nearby vineyards. The town became a royal seat between 1219 and 1228 and has been home to the Diocese of Litoměřice since 1655.
