Lobbes

This compact Wallonian town on the Sambre river in Hainaut, Belgium, Lobbes grew up around an abbey established here around 650 AD. The compact centre has cafés and restaurants, and the surrounding area offers vineyards and scenic viewpoints. A heritage tramway run by the ASVi passes through the town, and the wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
