Lovere

At the northwest tip of Lake Iseo in Lombardy, Lovere is a particularly photogenic small town whose streetscape blends overhanging wooden roofs with heavy stone arcades. It sits at the water's edge with mountains rising behind it, and its centre is dense with historic churches, cafés, and listed buildings. Lovere is a member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia — Italy's association of most beautiful villages — and in 2018 was the only Lombardy town to place in the national top twenty.
