One of Norway's most important fishing ports, Måløy sits on the island of Vågsøy in Vestland county, connected to the mainland by the Måløy Bridge. The town lies at the entrance to the Nordfjord, with mountain terrain rising around a waterfront centre. Sør-Vågsøy Church is the main landmark in town.
