Metzingen
Germany
Metzingen, a Swabian town south of Stuttgart, draws visitors from around the world to its "Outlet City," a former textile-factory district now filled with stores from Hugo Boss and other major brands — Hugo Boss was among the first to open here in the 1970s. The town also has a local wine tradition, with a central square holding what is claimed to be the world's largest ensemble of wine pressing houses, and eleven pressing houses preserved across the municipality. It sits at the foot of the Swabian Alb, part of a wider UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
