Nacaome
Honduras
Nacaome is a tiny commercial and manufacturing town in southern Honduras, serving as the capital of the Valle department and sitting on the banks of the Nacaome River. Its name derives from the Nahuatl words for "union of two races," reflecting its pre-colonial founding by the Cholula and Chaparrastique peoples, who joined together to build a shared settlement on what they called the Chapulapa River.
