Nobeoka

A coastal city in northern Miyazaki Prefecture, Nobeoka sits where rivers meet the sea with mountain terrain close by. Historically one of Miyazaki's leading industrial centres, it developed as a company town around the founding factories of the chemical giant Asahi Kasei.
