Pakwach

Ugandan town on the Nile in the Northern Region, Pakwach carries an unusual 19th-century history: it briefly fell under Ottoman-Egyptian administration as part of the Equatoria province. Today it serves as the administrative and commercial centre of Pakwach District, with the river and nearby mountains accessible from town.
