Piendamo

Town in Colombia's Cauca department on the edge of the Popayán metropolitan area, Piendamó draws visitors passing between Cali or Popayán and the nearby town of Silvia. Its busy Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday markets attract Guambiano indigenous traders, and the town holds several points of interest including the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Piendamó, a railway bridge, and a scenic viewpoint known as the Mirador del Aguapanelaso.
