Pogradec

Lakeside town in eastern Albania where the shores of Lake Ohrid meet the foothills of two mountain chains, Pogradec pairs a walkable centre with a dense food-and-drink scene. The Albanian side of the lake was added to the UNESCO World Heritage site covering the natural and cultural heritage of the Ohrid region in 2019, and Illyrian Royal Tombs in the adjacent area of Proptisht are on Albania's tentative UNESCO list.
