Raydah

A market town in the mountains of northwestern Yemen, Raydah sits north of Sana'a in Amran Governorate. The town historically hosted a Jewish market and maintained a small Jewish community with synagogues and schools into the late 2000s, though most of that community has since emigrated. The town's position in highland terrain places it within reach of water.
