Red Bluff
Tehama County · United States
This compact California city on the upper Sacramento River, Red Bluff served as the last steamboat stop — the so-called Head of Navigation — during the Gold Rush era, and later as a temporary terminus for the Southern Pacific Railroad. Its Historic Chinatown District, established in 2022, traces roots to 1852. The compact centre has cafés, restaurants, and an unusual concentration of historic churches, with mountain terrain close by.
