Ryn
Poland
Sitting between two lakes in the Masurian region of northeastern Poland, Ryn is a modest town with a photogenic waterside setting and a 14th-century Teutonic Knights castle — erected around 1337 — as its centrepiece. A 19th-century Dutch windmill and a subterranean channel connecting the lakes add further points of interest, and the town supports a modest café and restaurant scene for its size.
