Sındırgı

Sındırgı, a tiny town in Turkey's Balıkesir Province, is best known for its traditional Yağcıbedir rugs, celebrated each autumn at an international carpet festival. The area also has geothermal hot springs and produces kolonya, a scented hand freshener with a local following. Close to mountains and with a modest central café scene, it sits near the southern edge of the Marmara region.
