Sakib
Jordan
A little highland town in northwestern Jordan, Sakib sits on mountain slopes high enough to look out over Amman, Jerash, and much of the surrounding region. Its elevated position on the old road between Jerash and the Jordan Valley made it a waypoint through Roman, Byzantine, Crusader, and Ottoman times. Today it lies a short drive from Jerash, whose ancient ruins are among the best-preserved Roman cities in the wider region.
