This small village in Tlaxcala, Mexico, San Miguel del Milagro is home to the Santuario Nacional de San Miguel Arcángel, one of the two most visited Catholic temples in the state. The sanctuary marks the site of an apparition of St. Michael the Archangel to Diego Lázaro in 1631. The village sits alongside the Cacaxtla archaeological zone, and the wider Tlaxcala region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
