This coastal parish on Terceira island in the Azores, São Bartolomeu de Regatos stretches from the shoreline up the eastern slopes of the Serra de Santa Bárbara, with vineyards in the surrounding landscape. Established around 1560, it sits a short distance northwest of Angra do Heroísmo, a city whose historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The wider municipality of Angra do Heroísmo is the nearest urban centre.
