Sefrou
Province de Sefrou · Morocco
Sefrou, a city at the foothills of the Middle Atlas in central Morocco, is known for its annual cherry festival — said to be the oldest festival in Morocco — and for its Jewish heritage. The old medina and its adjacent kasbah preserve traditional Moroccan architecture, and the city sits along the Aggai river, historically a stop on caravan routes linking northern and southern Morocco. Fes lies a short distance to the northwest.
