Shediac
Shediac · Canada
Shediac, a tiny town on the coast of southeastern New Brunswick, calls itself the "Lobster Capital of the World" — a claim backed by an annual July lobster festival and a 90-ton sculpture of the world's largest lobster at the town's western entrance. Parlee Beach Provincial Park lies nearby. The town is also associated with chiac, the Acadian French patois believed to take its name from Shediac.
