South Glens Falls
United States
Cooper's Cave, named after James Fenimore Cooper and featured on the village seal, sits within the bedrock of the Hudson River here, viewable from a platform beneath the bridge connecting South Glens Falls to the city of Glens Falls across the water. Cooper visited the area and used it as a setting in The Last of the Mohicans. This compact New York village in northern Saratoga County also has a notable density of cafés, restaurants, and churches for its size, with mountains close by.
