Sumperk

A walkable town in northern Moravia on the Desná river, at the southwestern edge of the Jeseníky mountains, Šumperk serves as a regional gateway to the surrounding highland terrain. Its historic centre is preserved as an urban monument zone, with cafés and restaurants in the compact core. The town is also known in Czech promotional materials as the "Living Gate of the Jeseníky," reflecting its position at a crossroads of routes into different parts of the mountain range.
