Teggiano

A tiny hilltop town in Campania's Salerno province, Teggiano preserves the street plan of a Roman oppidum — its ancient cardo and decumanus still legible in the layout of the old town — alongside a concentration of historic churches and a medieval fortress character shaped by Norman and Hohenstaufen-era rebuilding.
