Teglio

Palazzo Besta, one of the principal Renaissance residences in Lombardy, is the centrepiece of this tiny Valtellina town in the Province of Sondrio — the settlement from which the Valtellina valley takes its name, and its oldest historical capital. Teglio sits in wine-growing country close to the Swiss border, with churches spread across its compact centre and scenic mountain surrounds.
