Temse
Belgium
A riverside town in East Flanders on the left bank of the River Scheldt, Temse is known for the Temsebrug — at 365 metres, the longest bridge in Belgium — and for the now-closed Boelwerf shipyard that once defined the town's industrial character. The Church of Our Lady, whose steeple was designed by sculptor Adriaan Nijs, houses relics of Amalberga of Temse, while the Flemish Eclectic town hall nearby holds a carillon.
