Tokaj
Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén · Hungary
Tokaj gives its name to the Tokaj-Hegyalja wine region and its celebrated white wines, produced across the vineyards that surround this small town in northern Hungary. It sits at the confluence of the Tisza and Bodrog rivers, at the foot of Kopasz Hill, with a modest central core of cafés and restaurants. The wider region holds UNESCO World Heritage status, and the town serves as the administrative centre of the Tokaj district.
