Townsville

This coastal city in tropical north Queensland, Townsville sits beside the central section of the Great Barrier Reef and faces Magnetic Island, most of which is national park. The Strand, a long beach and garden strip, runs along the waterfront, while Castle Hill rises above the city as its most prominent landmark and a popular viewpoint.
