Trzebiatów
Poland
A little town on the Rega River in north-western Poland, Trzebiatów has a well-preserved medieval Old Town — registered as a protected historical monument — with Gothic churches, defensive walls and towers, a market square, and a classicist palace. Once a Hanseatic trading centre that competed with neighbouring towns for Baltic commerce, it sits close to the Baltic coast and retains its medieval street plan within partially surviving brick fortifications.
