Ürgüp
Nevsehir · Türkiye
A well-established base for exploring Cappadocia's rock-cut churches, underground cities, and fairy chimney landscapes, Ürgüp is a highland town in central Turkey's Nevşehir province built around old stone houses clustered at the foot of Temenni Hill. It entered the boutique-hotel scene early and now has more cafés, restaurants, and accommodation options than most other Cappadocian towns. The surrounding region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites, and Ürgüp also sits at the centre of a thriving local wine-growing industry.
